Waldrop Cemetery is a non-profit cemetery which serves the
area around Brooks Community and Fairplay in western Panola County Texas.
This site will tell you something about the history
of Waldrop Cemetery, how it is managed, who the Trustees are, who is buried in the cemetery, where to send contributions and
how to contact the Waldrop Cemetery Association. We ask your help in making this a complete, accurate record of those buried
in this cemetery. Click below if you have corrections, additions or suggestions!
Each year on the last Sunday
in September families with loved ones buried here, gather to take a stroll through the cemetery and visit
the graves then share the day with loved ones and old friends.
We have a small booth where someone sits to receive the
donations that help us maintain the cemetery.
At 11:00 AM a business meeting is held in the Tabernacle.
Everyone is invited to participate in this meeting where trustees are elected and important decisions are made regarding care
of the cemetery.
At noon a covered dish luncheon is spread on the tables
under the trees and everyone enjoys a fine meal.
We encourage everyone with a family member buried here
to join us for this day.
